I spent 17 years in broadcast newsrooms, both radio and television, working to keep people informed about their communities as quickly as possible. I realized in 2006 the best way to do that was social media and began working with the quickly evolving social media platforms that started cropping up. Now, it’s easy to look back at my journalism experience and see that I was marketing a brand for every TV and radio station I worked for. Now, I use that experience to help companies manage their brands in the online world.
I am at my best in a fast paced, deadline-oriented world. Social Media Marketing changes quickly and you need to be ahead of the game, ready to pivot, to make sure your brand doesn’t get lost among the masses. Keeping your brand on the minds of the people in your community is my end goal.
When not “wasting” time on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, Wordpress, Reddit, Foursquare, etc., I help run a non-profit respite care center for special needs children, “Gio’s Garden”. I am lucky to have a wonderful wife and two fantastic boys, Giovanni and Benicio. We also have a cat, Chairman Meow…and she runs the house.
