Now that spring is upon us it’s time to think about spring cleaning. No, I’m not referring to sweeping out the garage or scrubbing your house from top to bottom. I’m talking about cleaning up your website!
Over time, companies tend to add fancy new features to their website that are never fully utilized. Now is the perfect time to go through your site from top to bottom and see what you ARE using and what you AREN’T using on your site. Make a list and decide what is worth keeping, what can be removed, and what you would like to see used more.
You should also comb through the content of your site. Make sure that past sales or events are removed and the real focus in on your company information. Have you moved in the last year? Did you have any staffing changes? What about that big award you just won? These are the things that potential clients can relate to and look at to find out WHO you are. Make sure that you are providing current information and anything new that can be used as a selling point.
This can make the user experience better for the reader or potential client and it will also make sure your website is completely up-to-date.
